Investor Bill Miller’s claim to fame is that he beat the S&P 500 15 consecutive years from 1991 - 20051. He included the below observation in his 2005 letter to investors.
His transparency is an impressive show of humility. It also makes me question the arbitrary nature of many commonly accepted measurement standards.
On another note
If you’re a golf fan, I highly recommend Full Swing on Netflix. The show follows the top golfers in the game while mixing in the emergence of LIV Golf. Interestingly, LIV is now showing signs of real weakness. See the article below.
